Carmen has a degree in chemical technology from Massey University. As a technologist, she brings a strong process design dimension to the partnership. She has broad experience in capability studies, value chain analysis and the design of complex processes in many different sectors. She also brings cluster expertise and experience in hi-tech sectors including optics, engineering and biotechnology.
Carmen is an experienced project manager in business and technological environments. She has worked for major corporations, including Mobil Oil (NZ) Ltd and Te Papa Tongarewa, Museum of NZ, and recently completed a contract at the Ministry of Research, Science and Technology (MoRST) where she was responsible for researching, designing and implementing their strategic direction.
Carmen has a demonstrated understanding of Industry NZ, Tech NZ and FRST funding programmes and is a registered TechLink Consultant. She currently facilitates the Wellington Creative Manufacturing Cluster and has worked on key initiatives for the Biotechnology and Engineering clusters in Dunedin. She is on the Research Platform Advisory Group for Media Lab South Pacific, representing I&S interests. |
